Audition Celebrity Dance Battle successfully debuts on national TV

Manila, 22 May 2009 - X-Play Online Games Inc, the joint venture between IP e-Game Ventures Inc., (e-Games) and GMA New Media Inc. (GMA-NMI), successfully launched Audition Celebrity Dance Battle on SOP -- GMA TV’s top rating Sunday musical variety show on May 17.

Audition Celebrity Dance Battle is the first TV dance game contest based on the hugely popular online music game, Audition Dance Battle. Audition Celebrity Dance Battle features today’s hottest GMA Kapuso Stars and runs on SOP from May 17 until June 7. The winning couple will receive P100,000, half of which will be donated to the Family Vaccine Specialty Clinics (FVSC) beneficiary families.

First to battle on May 24 are Rainier Castillo and Ryza Cenon versus Vaness Del Moral and Dominic Roco, to be followed by a showdown between Mark Herras and Chynna Ortaleza versus JC Tiuseco and Yasmien Kurdi on May 31. The contestants will be performing dance moves from the popular online game. The colorful, Korean pop outfits of the contestants are also inspired from fashion also showcased in the game itself, with clothes from sponsors Terranova and Mint.

Scores will be based on the judges’ vote (50%) and via SMS or text voting (50%). Voting period and SMS codes will be announced during the show. Viewers who vote for their favorite pairs through text will also get a chance to win special prizes.
