ABS-CBN’s Star Cinema is bringing back the love team of Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz to the big screen for a sequel to the box-office hit “A Very Special Love.”

Both Geronimo and Cruz said they hoped that their fans would support the upcoming film as much as they did the first movie.

Geronimo shared that the sequel’s theme song will be “You Changed My Life In a Moment.”

On the possibility that the fans of Cruz and Bea Alonzo might react negatively to the new Geronimo-Cruz film, Geronimo said: “Nakalagpas na kami sa ‘A Very Special Love.’ Sana natanggap na kahit papaano [ang love team namin]. Basta thankful kami sa lahat ng suportang ibibigay sa amin.”

“Napatunayan naman ng pelikula (A Very Special Love) kung gaano nag-mature ang audience,” Cruz added.

Meanwhile, after her successful concert at the Araneta Coliseum, Geronimo downplayed any suggestion that she is the next “concert queen.”

The singer-actress also refused to be compared to veteran singers Pops Fernandez and Regine Velasquez, saying she still has a long way to go before she can reach what they have achieved in terms of their singing careers.
