Last April 23, the College of St. Benilde Lady Blazers won over the University of the Philippines Lady Maroons...
It was also a very special day because UST volleyball player Denise Tan, who took a conference off to attend to her studies, was seen on TV as a courtside reporter.
It was a very happy day for UST fans who more often than not may have missed her sets for the UST team this conference but was at least very happy to see her on TV again, this time around, with a microphone in hand.
A couple of mixed reactions from the crowd and viewers as Denise was clearly no TV on-cam expert yet but had a lot of rapport with the camera, I guess no one even cared if she missed some cues or bungled a few lines. It was taped as live after all.
The tiger pack rejoices meantime and even though they wish Denise can don the yellow and black uniform of the UST Lady Tigers, they would have to contend with just being happy for Denise who may have found another calling aside from volleyball.
For the fans and volleyball fanatics out there, there is one more reason to catch the games on TV, and her name is Denise Tan.

it's so overwhelming for us 'DENISE TAN-ers' to see her on tv again thou not anymore playing but still part of the game. sana nga xa palagi ang courtside reporter eh... nkkamiss lng xa panoorin mglaro... super!!! manalo matalo DENISE pa rin.... THE NOT SO NICE THING LNG SIGURO ABOUT THIS ON-GOING SHAKEY'S VLEAGUE is that IT'S NOT ON A LIVE TELECAST. AND SUPER DELAYED PA ANG PAG0-AIR NG MGA GAMES.... mas mganda sana kung live kasi kht nanood ka lng nafifeel mo pa rin yong intensity ng games!!!! hu hu
Nung una nakakawal*** gana na talaga manood ng vleague, kasi wala na si Denise.
Tapos while I was browsing the channels kahapon, bigla ko l*** narinig yung commentator sa game ng UP at CSB na "As what Denise Tan mentioned earlier..." Sabi ko, tama ba narinig ko??? Hanggang tinapos ko na yung game knowing that ang courtside reporter naman talaga ang mag-iinterview sa player of the game... And she's really awesome!
